Our commitments.
EMS Group’s responsibilities extend across the products it supplies, the resources it consumes, the people it employs and the communities in which it operates. Our approach is built on five commitments that apply across every EMS Group brand.
Product integrity and safety
Many of the Group’s products exist to protect people: anti-slip flooring, PPE, barriers, signage and traffic management. We are committed to describing, quoting and supplying every product to its true specification and applicable standards, with the documentation customers require for compliance and audit.
Resource efficiency
Cutting and fabricating to customer requirement eliminates offcut waste before it is created. Across the Group we are committed to reducing material waste, using packaging proportionate to the goods it protects, and increasing recycled and recyclable content wherever product performance allows.
Responsible logistics
Deep UK stockholding shortens supply chains and removes unnecessary transport legs. We consolidate multi-brand orders into single deliveries and work with our carrier partners to reduce the environmental impact of national distribution.

The Group is committed to a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace, to fair and lawful employment practices, and to the professional development of colleagues across sales, operations, digital commerce and finance.
Communities and supply chain
EMS Group has been headquartered in Burnley, Lancashire since 2009, contributing to regional employment and the local economy. We expect from our suppliers the same standards of integrity, legal compliance and respect for people that we hold ourselves to.
These commitments are overseen by the Board of Express Matting Services Ltd and will be extended as the Group’s sustainability programme develops.
